Mycle bikes, the company on a mission to put the feel-good back in cycling, has today announced it is expanding the number of models in its electric bike range available for under £1000. The move to reduce its prices across four of its most popular models brings their hybrid bikes the ‘Comfort’ and ‘Cadence’ under the key £1000 price point for the first time.

Reducing our reliance on motor transport is not only a great way to save money but also a key way we can play a part in addressing the issue of climate change. Unfortunately due to the current cost of living crisis the initial outlay of owning an E-Bike has become increasingly unaffordable for some.

Mycle has always recognised that affordable alternatives are a key part of affecting change on a greater scale. This is why they have worked hard to reduce the cost of a number of its models and offer as many people as possible an alternative to taking the car. The most affordable models in the Mycle range now include the Cadence, Comfort and the ever popular Compact.

All of the bikes are built in the UK, come complete with a year long MycleCare warranty and are available to purchase on the Mycle website, flexible payment terms and the Cycle to Work scheme are also available.

Cadence

The Cadence, Mycle’s first ever hybrid E-Bike has a discreet, hidden battery and sporty design-led styling  that you could easily be forgiven for not realising its electric capabilities. Priced from £999 and available in Raw Aluminium, Goodwood Green and Matt Black it’s a stylish, comfortable and reliable way to get around the city and beyond.

A 250W motor offers up 45Nm of torque, giving you three easily changeable levels of power assistance for when you need an extra boost. The cleverly integrated 7.8Ah battery provides a real world range of 45km that is more than enough for the longest of commutes or a day exploring your local roads.

27.5” wheels offer a brilliant combination of rolling speed and manoeuvrability, while Tektro disc brakes offer reliable stopping power in all weather conditions. Shimano gears, an integrated front light and rear light that responds to braking are offered as standard.  The option to fit both front and rear luggage racks means you can turn the Cadence into the ultimate commuting or touring companion.

Comfort

The Mycle Comfort is a step-through E-Bike priced from £999, built for practicality, convenience and of course, comfort. Its suspension fork, Selle Royal suspension saddle and plush 40mm Kenda tyres work together to provide a silky smooth ride. The Comfort is the go to choice for those who want to enjoy a luxurious, effortless cycling experience.

Prioritising doesn’t come at the expense of range and components with the Comfort. A hidden, removable 10.4Ah battery gives an ample 45km real world range and is paired with a 250W motor that has a maximum torque of 45Nm. Need to top up your charge? Just unlock the battery and take it with you wherever there’s power.

Practicality is at the forefront of the Comfort’s design. An integrated rear rack makes it easy to fit panniers, a cargo basket or even a child seat so the little ones can come along and enjoy the ride too. If you want to carry even more luggage then there is even the option of fitting a front cargo basket using the mounts provided. The chain protector and mudguards mean you don’t need to worry about road spray or any unsightly marks on your clothes.

Compact

The Mycle Compact foldable E-bike is the perfect partner for city commutes or for those where space is at a premium, its lightweight aluminium frame folding into a compact package in under 10 seconds flat. The 250w motor provides a smooth, quiet ride and with 30 km of range it’s more than capable of tackling the average commute. Once you’re parked up for the day you can recharge by simply removing the lockable seat post which cleverly conceals a 6.4Ah battery.

The Compact features 5 levels of power assist for when you need an extra boost and at the push of a button you can easily switch from pedal assist to manual pedalling. The compact includes a handy LCD display to let you know key stats from your ride and also features a USB plug that can charge your phone as you ride.

All of the bikes are built in the UK, come complete with a year long MycleCare warranty and are available to purchase on the Mycle website, flexible payment terms and the Cycle to Work scheme are also available.
