SUSPENSION DESIGN AND PEDAL EFFICIENCY

Structural Crossbar System

The rear shock and frame work harmoniously to deliver unmatched pedal efficiency and suspension. The vertical orientation of the rear shock ensures a low center of gravity and exceptional torsional rigidity.

Optimized Hollow Axles and Oversized Bearings

CNC machined alloy axles combined with oversized main pivot bearings enhance rear triangle stiffness while minimizing weight. The use of larger bearing creates benefits also in terms of longevity and reliability.

FRAME CONSTRUCTION – DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

Design

The design of the new Crossfire Trail inherits key features from its marathon counterpart, the Crossfire 428. Notably, the inverted diamond shape of the downtube which provides both structural and aesthetic benefits. The integration of the “bridge” closing the chain stays in front of the seat tube, along with the link, results in an elegant and compact design despite oversized pivot axles. The hollowed downtube in the bottom bracket area improves shock positioning, while optimized tube shapes enhance rigidity in the bottom bracket and rear triangle without compromising weight.

Carbon Technology

The Crossfire Trail utilizes advanced Torayca T1000 and T800 fibers to optimize comfort, efficiency, and minimal weight (1850g in size M, including shock). Meticulously molded carbon bearing housing guarantees precision and stringent tolerance control standards, offering an effortless riding experience.

GEOMETRY

Crossfire Trail’s geometry features a long stack and open angles, paired with a short stem reach. XC geometry has evolved over the years to make these bikes more versatile, allowing riders to have an efficient pedalling position and boost confidence with stability and traction during climbs and descents. Available in four sizes to accommodate different riders’ preferences.
