We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Lee to the newly created role of Running Lead.
Spearheaded by former professional athlete Tom Copeland, the PaceUp Media team comprises endurance sports athletes from a variety of backgrounds and levels. This native understanding of sport allows PaceUp to deliver unparalleled PR, social media management, digital marketing, content delivery and communications strategy services on a pan-European basis.
Ben Lee joins PaceUp with 16 years worth of industry experience, bolstering the agency’s credentials within the running sector. Former Retail Director of specialty run store chain Run4It and Head of Run & Sports at distributor 2Pure, 2022 saw Ben found his own brand management and sales agency run legacy and adopt the position of Project Development Manager at the Running Industry Alliance.
In this additional role, Ben Lee will head up the development of the PaceUp Media’s running and outdoor portfolio, utilising his vast experience and network to firmly establish the agency as one of the leading boutique marketing and PR service providers to running brands and event organisers.
In addition to bringing Ben into the business, PaceUp Media has also joined the Running Industry Alliance, a membership network which brings together various sectors of the running industry into a continual conversation aiming to galvanise, align, elevate, inform and advance the sector.
Ben Lee, PaceUp Media Running Lead, ‘I am delighted to be taking on this role alongside developing run legacy. Having been working with PaceUp since April this year as we have a mutual client, I’ve seen that the brand synergy and growth aspirations between PaceUp and run legacy are well matched. PaceUp has a great record within the Cycling industry and I am excited to be part of the continued journey into running. The team’s knowledge and expertise in endurance sport is fantastic and will lend itself well to the running industry’.
Tom Copeland, PaceUp Media Founder and Director, ‘Ben’s experience and network will be a great addition to the PaceUp team, in an area we are excited to invest and develop in. Having an increased focus on this discipline as its own vertical within the agency is an exciting step forward, not just from an experience and passion perspective but also from the crossover we see from many brands and projects we’re already working across in the endurance and adventure space. An exciting next chapter in PaceUp’s development, one which has come a long way in just four years since PaceUp was founded.’
